Lessons focus on both canonical and topical contemporary works of American literature. The students will be exposed to a number of different texts, which they will analyse and interpret. The core of the lessons should thus be an exchange of ideas in the target language, which maximises students’ talking time. The alternation of iconic, usually older, and more recent literary works provides a broad range of perspectives on principal themes and issues of both American literature and culture.
