The course presents key areas of lexicology in contemporary English as well as the basics of lexicography, e.g. the typology of dictionaries. The choice of topics accentuates the practical use of knowledge and skills in the participants´ future teaching practice in primary schools.

Kurz seznamuje posluchače s klíčovými tématy lexikologie současného anglického jazyka a základy lexikografie - typologií slovníků apod. Při výběru témat se klade důraz na srovnávací přístup a akcentuje využitelnost v pedagogické praxi na 1. stupni ZŠ.
