Problems and hands-on experiments leading to development of basic concepcts and better understanding in areas:

Electrostatics (from experiments with tins to Gauss's Law).
Electric charge and its features. Conductors and isolants. Electrostatic induction. Capacity. How to understand gradients and divergencies. Elementary ideas concerning potential, voltage, current and resistance.

Electric circuits (from child's play to Kirchhoff's Rules).
Simple electric circuits. Composite circuits in schemes and in reality. Measurement of voltage, electric current and resistivity. Ohm law. How to understand the behaviour of electric circuits by means of water model.

Magnetism and electromagnetism (from filings pictures to Maxwell equations).
Magnetic field of permanent magnet. Oersted experiment. Mutual interaction of magnet and conductor with current. Electromagnetic induction. Dynamo, motor, ammeters, relay, speaker, transformer. Maxwell equations for everybody.

The seminar will present and use factual experience from teaching these themes in schools and provide inspiring ideas for work of future teachers with their pupils.
