This lecture is closely continuous with UFY030. The approximate methods of quantum mechanics (QM). The generalization of QM to many-particle systems. Identical particles and the principle of their indistinguishability. Bosons and fermions. The one-particle approximation. The Pauli exclusion principle. Helium atom. The periodic system of elements. Hydrogen molecule. The outline of the theory of chemical bond. Some technical applications based on the laws of QM.
