In this course, students are acquainted with theoretical and practical principles of creation and presentation of interactive 3D worlds in web environments. They learn how to model 3D scenes with respect to efficient data transfer over Internet and real-time rendering in a web browser. Within their own semester project, they work with the following technologies: X3Dom, JavaScript, and HMTL. In addition, they learn principles of virtual and augmented reality.

1. Modeling 3D objects and scenes. X3D file format.

2. Animation and interaction techniques. X3DOM technology.

3. Presentation of interactive 3D worlds in web environments. Efficiency issues - data transfer and real-time rendering. Event processing using JavaScript.

4. Principles and hardware requirements for virtual and augmented reality.
