The course is open to all students (future teachers) who are interested in the development of mathematical education and teaching throughout the ages. The interesting mathematical problems which emerged in the last time will be showed and solved.

Teaching of mathematics and the development of mathematical thinking in the Ancienit (schools, mathematics in the systems of education).

The position of mathematics in the system of education in the Modele Agens (elementary schools, universities).

Mathematics in the Renaissance and "New Age" (national mathematical textbooks, kinds of schools, special education for technics and clerks).

Jesuit's schools (elementary, secondary and high schools, universities) and the role of mathematics in their system of education.

The bird of the technical schools (polytechnics, "real" schools, mathematics and descriptive geometry in the preparation of future technics).

The education in the Czech lands in the 19th century (three levels of education, leaving examinations, preparation of future teachers for secondary schools, special courses for teachers from elementary schools, so called "teacher's examinations", entrance examinations).
