Basic topics to be specified based on individual study plans of the students: Global and regional climate models, model uncertainties, added value of embedded regional models, numerical methods, parametrizations. Observed climate changes, their causes, detection and attribution. Climate change scenarios, their construction and related uncertainties, emission scenarios. Postprocessing of climate model outputs, bias correction methods, validation techniques.
