Principles of the meteorological observation coding, analysis of meteorological elements. Analysis of atmospheric fronts and special weather characteristics. Knowledge gained from lecture "Synoptic Meteorology I" is supposed.

The main task is to learn basic pricniples of weather elements fields analysis including using of vertical atmosphere cuts and satellite data.

Credit is receveid after giving a presentation on selected topic, 70 percent of attendance is required.

Principles of the meteorological observation coding and of analysis of meteorological elements. Principles of atmospheric fronts analysis. Properties of fields of geopotential, wind and potential vorticity and their relationship to synoptic analysis. Aerological diagrams and vertical atmosphere cross-sections. Using of satellite data for synoptic analysis.
