Algebraic geometry belongs to the most progressive branches of mathematics. Many of the
famous problems in mathematics were solved using its machinery, including Fermat's last
theorem. On the ground of algebraic geometry lies the geometric reformulation of problems,
which are not a priory of geometrical origin, e.g. the system of algebraic equations.

Algebraická geometrie patří k nejprogresivnějším matematickým oborům.
Pomocí algebraické geometrie byly vyřešeny těžké matematické problémy,
včetně Fermatovy věty. Podstatou algebraické geometrie je využití
geometrického myšlení na řešení úloh, které apriorně nejsou geometrické
(např. řešení soustav algebraických rovnic).
Seznámení s oborem studiem základních učebnic. Úroveň semináře bude
přizpůsobena znalostem studentů.
