A two-term credited course which introduces students to the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English Exam, explores strategies of test taking and covers the grammatical structures, vocabulary and writing genres found in this test. Be advised that this is an advanced level English class. The course is included in the credit system of the Faculty. Enrollment in this subject is limited. MFF students who have the subject in their study plans are preferred.

Gramatické, lexikální struktury: předpřítomný čas (prostý, průběhový), zvláštní případy; spojování sloves; nepravidelná příslovce; slovesné struktury s infinitrivními a gerundiálními vazbami; kolokace; přípony.

Témata: diskurzivní esej, hledání hlavních myšlenek a klíčových detailů v textu; psaní odpovědi.
