The lecture explains basic parts of physics in nanoscale systems (metallic and oxidic nanoparticles, nanotubes and nanowires, thin layers and nanogranular films). It is based on descritpion of the electronic structure in nanoscale, models of transport and magnetic properties are subsequently described. Correlation of the physical properties to the electronic structure, including consequences for the colective phenomena (magnetism, suerconductivity) and potential applications are presented. The lecture is a continuation of the Physics and technology of nanomaterials I, and it is aimed to 4. -
