Introduction - what is linux, network access, coping with big data - grep, sed, awk, how to utilise scripts, graphs = gnuplot, gnoplot for advanced, RS232 - introduction, RS232 - programming, GPIB - introduction, GPIB - programming, Figures = Xfig, real time linux, parallel linux - SMP, OpenMPI ... Agreement among involved students is assumed.

Oral exam. Student gets two qestions regarding the topic which were discussed during semestr. It may be required to demonstrate student's understanding on actual computer and experimental setup.
