Basic notions of magnetism. Curie-Weiss law, ferro- and antiferromagnetics.

Classification of magnetics, localized, itinerant systems. Hund's rules, RKKY interaction, Stoner model.

Formation of magnetic moments in diluted alloys. Anderson model. Methods of magnetic measurements.

Specific heat of magnetic materials, magnetic entropy.

Transport propetries - elektric resistivity, Hall effect, termoelectic effect.

Local-probe methods - diffraction, spectroskopic, nuclear, what can be learned.
