Laser scanning is one of the data collection methods for describing the earth's relief and the objects on it. The aim of the course is to introduce the principles of creating point clouds, their analysis and processing methods that lead to a geometric description of the earth's relief and the objects on it and their changes over time.

- Point cloud filtering
- Point cloud classification methods
- Object modeling methods, i.e. from point clouds to geometric representation - extraction of lines, planes, surfaces, with a focus on important topographical objects such as buildings, trees, ...
- Monitoring of relief changes (e.g., due to landslides)
- Terrestrial laser scanning and point cloud processing
