The content of the course is focused on understanding the didactic aspects of working with modern technologies in teaching (primarily geography) and in the process of designing lesson plans. This includes working with applications for tablets or smartphones, 3D printing, virtual reality, GIS, DPZ and navigation systems (GPS).
The main focus of the course is on the practical use of technology and geoinformation tools. Specific examples of practical applications will be given while drawing on the principles of experiential pedagogy and exploratory learning. An integral part of the course is training in working with applications and technologies from the teacher's perspective - i.e. in the sense of TPACK - Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge.
The course is highly participatory and assumes students' activity and personal contribution to the course content.
The output of the course is a portfolio of students' preparation for teaching geography using the technologies mentioned above. Participation in the course is not required to have taken other courses such as GIS courses. However, it is highly recommended to pass the Didactics of Geography I. The course is also suitable for beginners in working with technologies.

Kurz je obsahově zaměřen na porozumění didaktickým aspektům práce s moderními technologiemi ve výuce (primárně geografie) a v procesu přípravy na výuku. Jedná se o práci s aplikacemi pro tablety či smartphony, 3D tisk, virtuální realitu, GIS, DPZ a navigačními systémy (GPS).
Hlavní důraz je v kurzu kladen na praktické využití technologií a geoinformařních nástrojů. Budou uvedeny konkrétní příklady praktických aplikací, které budou zároveň vycházet ze zásad zážitkové pedagogiky a badatelského učení. Nedílnou součástí je i nácvik práce s aplikacemi a technologiemi z pohledu učitele - tedy ve smyslu TPACK - Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge.
Kurz je výrazně participativní a předpokládá aktivitu studentů i jejich osobní přínos k obsahu kurzu.
Výstupem z kurzu je portfolio příprav studentů na výuku zeměpisu s využitím uvedených technologií. Pro účast v kurzu není vyžadováno absolvování jiných kurzů zaměřených např. na GIS. Je však doporučováno absolvování kurzu Didaktika geografie I. Kurz je vhodný i pro začátečníky v oblasti práce s technologiemi.

The main goal of the course is to learn student how to use smart technologies and apprise students with possibilities of these technologies in geography lessons.
The expected outcome, is that after completion of the course students are able to actively use smart techonogies in the process of planning and realization of geography lessons.

Cílem předmětu je naučit studenty využívat chytré technologie a seznámit je s možnostmi jejich využití ve výuce zeměpisu.
Hlavním výstupem kurzu tedy je, že po jeho absolvování studenti aktivně využívají chytré techonogie při plánování a realizaci výuky geografie na základních a středních školách.

In general, the course builds on the course of Didactics of Geography I, while it is essential that students are able to formulate learning objectives and plan teaching based on them. The course is organized into several blocks aimed at introducing the technology and the possibilities of its use in teaching geography. The course content can be modified according to the preferences and expertise of the participating students. The thematic focus of the individual course blocks (the chronological order of the blocks within the course may vary): 1)Tablets and smartphones - use in teaching, demonstration of apps suitable for teaching, electronic textbooks
2) Virtual reality - introduction to VR technology and demonstration of apps for teaching geography
3) 3D printing - technical preparation of 3D models for teaching and their meaningful use in geography lessons
4) Geographical information systems - an overview of basic software and tools suitable for the school environment (especially freeware software) and a demonstration of their application to school teaching
5) Remote sensing outputs and their use (especially focusing on aerial and satellite imagery)

Kurz navazuje v obecné rovině na výuku základního kurzu Didaktika geografie I., přičemž je nezbytné, aby žáci byli schopni formulovat cíle výuky a na jejich základě výuku plánovat. Kurz je organizačně koncipován do několika bloků zaměřených na seznámení s danou technologií a možnostmi jejího využití ve výuce geografie. Obsah kurzu lze modifikovat dle preferencí a odbornosti zúčastněných studentů. Tematické zaměření jednotlivých bloků kurzu (chronologické pořadí bloků v rámci kurzu se může lišit): 1)Tablety a smartphony - využití ve výuce, ukázka aplikací vhodných do výuky, elektronické učebnice
2) Virtuální realita - seznámení s technologií VR a ukázka aplikací pro výuku geografie
3) 3D tisk - technická příprava 3d modelů pro výuku a jejich smysluplné využití ve výuce
4) Geografické informační systémy - blok je zaměřen na přehled základního software a nástrojů vhodných do školního prostředí (zejm. volně šiřitelný , tzv. freeware, software) a ukázka jejich aplikace do školní výuky
5) Výstupy dálkového průzkumu Země a jejich využití (zejména zaměření na letecké a družicové snímky)
