The theory and methodology of economic geography applicated to the world economy, industry and transport create the content of the course. The main tendencies of the development, changes and regional differencies are preffered.

Individual lectures deals with:

1. Economic geography as a part of geographical sciences.

2. Sectorial structure of economy.

3. The countries according to the level of economic development.

4. Basic transformations of the world economy; geography of industry as a science, development of industry.

5. Types and character of indicators and statistical data.

6. International industrial classification; the methods of measuring and analysing industry.

7. Territorial structure of industry.

8. The factors of industrial localization.

9. World manufacturing industry, engineering industries.

11. "Global shift" and qualitative developmental tendencies of the world industry (research & development, high-tech, technopolis, integration, globalization, the changes of technology, organization, management, space, distribution).

12. World main industrial regions.

13. - 15. The structure, development, changes and geographical distribution of the transport.
