Optional course. The aim of the course are to deepen the knowledge and skills in the study of general, regional geography on the example of the Alpine region and to analyze the main problem areas and regional specificities. With emphasis on new regional geography, resp. cultural geography. An important part of the seminar will also include an analysis of research related synthetic nature and society. Area of interest is not defined by national borders, each affecting the Alps, but legal resp. geomorphological Alpine region of definition and delimitation under the Alpine Convention. The above mentioned issues and factors will be analyzed both makroregional (Alps) and the micro-, resp. regional level. There is a relationship between natural and social issues. Human activities in this very sensible area are developing to extent at this time. What can people do for their region and what can Czechia learn from the political, economic, social and enviromental situation of the Alps? We will find many answers to the questions and analysing this topics with the methods of Human Geography. Many points at problems in the Alps will be discussed on the modelling areas.

Volitelná přednáška. Cílem přednášky je jednak prohloubit znalosti a dovednosti v rámci studia obecné regionální geografie a také na příkladu alpského regionu analyzovat hlavní problémové oblasti a regionální specifika. Přičemž důraz bude kladen na poznatky nové regionální, resp. kulturní geografie. Významnou částí semináře bude také analýza syntetického výzkumu vztahu příroda a společnost. Zájmové území není definováno jednotlivými hranicemi států zasahující do Alp, nýbrž právnickou resp. střední definicí alpského regionu a také vymezením podle Alpské konvence. Výše zmíněné problémy a faktory pak budou analyzovány jak na makroregionální (Alpy) tak i mikroregionální, resp. regionální úrovni.

Po úvodní diskuzi nad přehledem literatury a postavení alpského prostoru v Evropě dojde k definování základních geografických podmíněností a souvislostí zájmového území. Budou analyzovány základní fyzickogeografické, demografické, politicko-historické, ekonomické, sociokulturní i ekologické podmíněnosti. Přitom dojde také na dopady specifických alpských podmíněností (fén, ledovcová činnost, výrazná orografie, migrace, kontinuita osídlení, vodní zdroje, cestovní ruch, bariéry v dopravě, ochrana životního prostředí atd.)

Významnou součástí předmětu je diskuse k probírané problematice.

Podmínky pro zápis: ukončený 1. roč. studia, zájem o mag. studium sociální nebo regionální geografie. Podmínky pro splnění studijních povinností: úspěšné absolvování závěrečného testu, referát, 75% účast.
