This course is concerned with the current post-communist part of Europe and its reintegration into the larger setting of the whole continent and in the context of globalisation processes. Since the 1989 fall of the communist regimes, the Czech Republic and the other countries of post-communist Europe are striving to come in terms with political and economic transformation and ethnonational identities.
