Optional lectures. Basic methodological approaches to geomorphological reaseach and
classification of research methods. Geomorphological analysis. Preparatory research
phases: Studying of scientific literature and maps, including archives ones, studying of
drilling documentation, aerial and satellite photographs, construction of auxiliary
morphometric maps and profiles. Field research. Equipment for field research, field
research proceeding, geomorphological mapping, types of geomorphological maps,
methods of construction of a detailed general geomorphological map, determination of
genesis and age of landforms, documentation techniques, sampling. Morphotectonics,
morphostructural analysis. Methods of studying morphogenetic processes. Laboratory
research work. Experimental laboratory and field work in geomorphology, theoretical
models, reconstruction. Final research phases. Revision work, elaboration of
documentation and final research report, geomorphological synthesis.

Základní metodické přístupy při geomorfologickém výzkumu a klasifikace výzkumných
metod. Geomorfologická analýza. Přípravná fáze výzkumu: Studium odborné literatury a
mapových podkladů včetně archivovaných, studium vrtných dokumentací, leteckých a
družicových snímků, konstrukce pomocných morfometrických map a profilů. Terénní
výzkum: Vybavení pro práci v terénu, postup při terénním výzkumu, geomorfologické
mapování, typy geomorfologických map, postup při vzniku podrobné obecné
geomorfologické mapy, určování geneze a stáří tvarů reliéfu, dokumentační techniky, odběr
vzorků. Morfotektonika, morfostrukturní analýza. Metody studia morfogenetických procesů.
Laboratorní výzkumné práce. Experimentální laboratorní a terénní práce v geomorfologii,
teoretické modely, rekonstrukce. Závěrečná fáze výzkumu: Revizní práce, zpracování
dokumentace a závěrečné zprávy o výzkumu, geomorfologická syntéza.
