The basic factors of soil formation - climate, relief, substrate, human activities, time and
the resulting soil characteristics (features and physical-chemical properties of soils) are
studied from the viewpoint of the soil cover of the Earth. The soil typological appurtenance
is consequently confronted with the principles of soil cartography and with some
application ways used in agriculture, forestry and ecology. Laws and causes of the fauna
and flora spreading on the Earth surface are examined from the biological, and
physical-geographical viewpoint. The relations of the flora and fauna to the climatic,
edaphic and hydric components of natural sphere are narrow and even more modified by
human activity. The zonality of spreading of different forms of life is progressively studied at
the global and republic scale.
