The lesson concerns with risk phenomena connected with atmospheric processes on various spatial as well as
temporal scales. Following aspects of severe weather and climate phenomena will be presented: mechanisms producing the phenomenon and its
variants; measurement and prediction; impacts and their prevention; geographical and temporal distribution (annual and diurnal distribution, cycles and possible trends); significant historical events. The course is taught in Czech.
