1. Petrology of metamorphic rocks The examination aligns with the content of the master’s course Advanced Metamorphic Petrology (MG440P35) and also with the basic bachelor’s course Petrology of Metamorphic Rocks (MG440P10). Sufficient coverage of the master’s course Geological Thermodynamics (MG440P71) is also recommended. 2. Petrology of magmatic rocks The examination aligns with the content of the master’s courses Igneous Processes (MG440P24) and Dynamics of Magma Chambers (MG440P70) and also with the basic bachelor’s course Petrology of Magmatic Rocks (MG440P09). Sufficient coverage of the master’s course Isotope Geochemistry – Geochronology (MG440P23) is also recommended. 3. Structural geology The examination aligns with the content of the master’s courses Advanced Structural Geology (MG440P46) and Rheology and Deformation Microstructures (MG440P26) and also with the basic bachelor’s course Fundamentals in Structural Geology (MG440P17E). Sufficient coverage of the master’s course Magnetic Anisotropy and Paleomagnetism (MG440P55) is also recommended. 4. Geotectonics The examination aligns with the content of the master’s course Geodynamics of Lithosphere (MG440P37) and also with the basic bachelor’s course Geotectonics and Plate Tectonics (MG440P15). Sufficient coverage of the master’s course Numerical Modelling of Heat Transfer in Geology (MG440P73) is also recommended. |
