This course introduces the role of physiological factors in the formation of various psychological phenomena. During the semester, students will learn about the basic biological, physiological and neural determinants (eg with the influence of heredity, prenatal biological factors, nervous system, glands with internal secretion, diseases of the organism) on the mind, personality, experience and behavior. As one of the dominant approaches in modern psychology, biological psychology combines the knowledge of psychology, neuroscience, physiology, evolutionary biology and genetics.
