The aim of the lecture is to introduce to diversity, ecology and evolutionary adaptations of marine fishes. Although
the lecture will largely go through the taxonomic groups of fishes, the special attention will be put on ecological
peculiarities of fishes from individual biogeographic zones and different habitats, as well as on the remarkable
evolutionary adaptations of individual groups. Lecture will include information on life-histories, biotic interactions,
feeding and reproductive strategies, and migrations.
