1. What is ecology. An individual in the environment: effects of environmental factors and resources, life in extreme conditions

2. Population ecology I. Intrapopulation interactions, population growth, life tables, intraspecific competition.

3. Population ecology II. Interpopulation interactions - predation, competition, mutualism

4. Community ecology: diversity, sucession, stability, role of disturbance & predation, bottom-up & top-down control, primary production, food chains, island ecology concept

5. Ecosystem ecology: energy flow and matter cycling, global climatic patterns, biomes
