Course " Progress in virology" is focused on interesting findings in the field of virology published in scientific journals. During the first lecture, the plan of topics will be presented to students. After discussion, the plan can be modified according to interest of the participants. The course is interactive; students comments and questions during lessons are welcomed. Examples of suggested topics: Viruses and small RNAs; Virus infections and superinfections; Covid updates; Interactions of viruses with cell cytoskeleton; News in HIV therapy, Virus trafficking in host cells; Newly discovered giant viruses etc.

The most important part of the exam is essey (topic will be offered and selected by each student during course) and active in-class discussions.
