The thematic area of Judaism I is focused on deepening and broadening the knowledge of the key problems of the discipline in general, with an emphasis on the specific topic of the student's study. Furthermore, the knowledge of literature and sources concerning Judaism in general and the student's topic in particular will be deepened. The doctoral student studies the topics independently on the basis of individual guidance and instructions of the supervisor and possibly other professional consultants. As a rule, a lecture cycle is offered once a academic year. The exam will cover the verification of the knowledge gained from the specified topics. In an individual study plan, this obligation is imposed once per standard length of study and is usually planned to be completed by and including the third year of study. Fulfillment of the obligation is confirmed by an exam with the result passed by the examiner.

Tematický okruh judaistika I. je zaměřen na prohloubení a rozšíření znalostí týkajících se klíčových problémů oboru jednak obecně, jednak s důrazem na specifickou tématiku studentova studia. Dále budou prohlubovány znalosti literatury a pramenů týkající se judaistiky obecně a studentova tématu speciálně. Témata doktorand studuje samostatně na základě individuálního vedení a pokynů školitele a případně dalších odborných konsultantů. V rámci tohoto okruhu je zpravidla jednou za akademický rok vypsán přednáškový cyklus. Zkouška se bude týkat ověření získaných znalostí ze specifikovaných okruhů. V individuálním studijním plánu je tato povinnost uložena jednou za standardní dobu studia a je obvykle plánována ke splnění do třetího roku studia včetně. Splnění povinnosti je potvrzováno zkouškou s výsledkem prospěl, kterou uděluje zkoušející.
