Lectures are based on M. Mikulicova's Basics of Old Testament Hebrew (according to the second edited edition of 2009). In the winter semester, we cover lessons 1-10 (nouns, adjectives, pronouns, numerals). We aim to acquire basic knowledge of the main grammatical phenomena so that we can read simpler biblical texts as soon as possible. Part of the course will be reading and interpretation of selected passages from Old Testament books.

Výuka probíhá podle skript M. Mikulicové Základy starozákonní hebrejštiny (podle druhého, upraveného vydání z roku 2009). V zimním semestru probereme lekce 1 až 10 (podstatná jména, přídavná jména, zájmena, číslovky). Naším cílem bude osvojit si základní poznatky o hlavních mluvnických jevech tak, abychom co nejdříve mohli s porozuměním číst jednodušší úryvky biblického textu. Součástí výuky bude četba a výklad vybraných pasáží ze starozákonních knih.

Ability to read, analyze, and translate sentences from M. Mikulicova's book, knowledge of vocabulary (esp. names in the book). It is tested both by a written test of grammar and vocabulary, and by oral translation and analysis of the texts from lessons 1-10.

Schopnost číst, analyzovat a překládat cvičné věty ze skript, ovládat stanovené penzum slovní zásoby (jmenný okruh ve skriptech). Prověřuje se jednak písemným testem z mluvnice a slovní zásoby, jednak ústním překladem a rozborem cvičných textů z lekcí 1-10.
