Předmět je zaměřen na určitou významnou skupinu vzájemně souvisejících témat aplikované etiky. Jedná se o
aktuální morální otázky, které se týkají začátku a konce lidského života, předávání lidského života, manželství,
sexuality a genderu. Cílem je jednak tyto problematiky promýšlet na základě teorie přirozeného zákona, a jednak
srovnávat křesťanský pohled na věc s odlišnými, případně opačnými hledisky.

Tematické okruhy: 1) Silné a slabé stránky argumentů ve prospěch rozlišení mezi pohlavím a genderem (Tomas
Bogardus). 2) Otázka práv sexuálních menšin (Edward Stein, David Ross Fryer). 3) Étos manželského soužití
(Thich Nhat Hanh). 4) Pojem života; život jako hodnota. 5) Počátek lidského života. 6) Diskuze o eutanázii a
genetickém inženýrství.
