This seminar is focused on study visits to Baroque monuments in Prague and in Bohemia. Students will get acquainted with architecture as well as with painting and sculpture. Emphasis is put on the analysis and interpretation of the works of art within the artistic context of the time.

In the summer semester we will continue the programme of the winter semester concerning the art of the Augustinian Order, and we will also focus on the building and artistic activities of the Černín family, especially Humprecht Jan Černín of Chudenice.
