V zimním semestru bude ještě více než dříve akcentován aspekt náboženství v moderní literatuře. Důraz bude kladen zejména na duchovní tápání, hledání, krize, naplnění a praxi postav fikčních příběhů a světů. Přihlížet se též bude ke způsobům včlenění fenoménu náboženství do narace (od rafinované skrytosti až po ostentativní hlásání). Vítáno bude úsilí frekventantů postihnout obzor religiozity v díle, respektive vysvětlit, kde jsou její meze nebo naopak přesahy v rámci daného textu. Prostor dostane také náboženská a antináboženská agitace, přítomná v literatuře. V zamyšleném časovém intervalu, na který je brán v semináři zřetel, se navíc otevírá jedinečná možnost směřovat zájem k rekonfiguraci a synkrezi nových náboženských společenství, jejichž stopa přímo či nepřímo vrostla do literárního milieu.


During the winter semester the aspect of religion in modern literature will be accented more than ever before. Emphasis will be put on spiritual searching, crisis, fulfillment and practice of particular characters of fictional stories and worlds. Attention will also be given to ways of incorporating the phenomenon of religion into narration (from refined concealment to ostentatious proclamation). The effort of the students to capture the horizon of religiosity in the work, or to explain where its limits or overlaps within the text are will be welcomed. Religious and anti-religious agitation present in the literature will also be stressed. Moreover, in the time interval of the seminar there is also a unique opportunity to explore the reconfigurations and syncresions of new religious communities whose footprint has directly or indirectly grown into literary milieu.

Cílem semináře je na vybraných prozaických a básnických textech z novodobé české a světové literatury ukázat interpretační možnosti významové výstavby literárního díla.

The aim of the seminar is to present interpretation possibilities of a meaning structure of literature work with examples of prosaic and poetic texts.

Pro udělení zápočtu je nutná orientace v prostoru české a světové literatury; ta je ověřována formou otázek během přednášek k daným tematickým okruhům. Základem je pochopení literárních dějin jako inspirace ve spojitosti umění a křesťanské víry. Od frekventantů se očekává pravidelná účast a aktivní participce na diskuzích, vztahujících se k předem avizovaným tématům. 

To obtain the credit it is necessary to understand a fundamental elements of Czech and world literature; this is a verified during lectures discussions on the given topics. The basis is to understand literature history as an inspiration in the connection of art and Christian faith. Students are expected to attend regularly and participate actively in debates.
