The Diploma Seminar II course prepares students for concluding their own diploma thesis. After developing the literature review and methods sections during the Diploma Seminar I, students develop their academic writing techniques, discuss the analysis and interpretation of data and develop the final version of their MA thesis.

The main goal of Diploma Seminar II is to complete the diploma thesis and to prepare students for its successful defence. 

Course completion requirements

Active participation in the course and delivery of all assignments, i.e. parts of the diploma thesis (Data Aanalysis and Discussion).

All assignments must be evaluated as of sufficient quality to pass the course.

Participation in seminars is compulsory.  A maximum of two absences in one of the two groups (Dino Numerato and Tiago Gomes Lapa) are permitted.

Evaluation: Maximum 100 %; minimum for passing 50%;All assignments must be evaluated as of sufficient quality to pass the course.

The course will take place at least five times per semester and will be complemented by individual meetings of students with their supervisors. 

The first meeting will take place in the first week of the semester.

The course will be concluded after the deadline for submission of MA theses.  

 

Each student will submit and present three parts of their theses.
