The module is designed to provide basic summary of international law system, both generally and in special parts.
It is focused on general issues, such as sources and subjects of international law, state responsibility and relationship between international and municipal law. The second part of the module is dedicated to basic information about the human rights protection.
Students are expected to prepare for lectures and seminars by reading provided documents and bringing international law materials. They are expected to take part in discussions on relevant topics.
Aim of the course

The target of the module is to present and teach the students basic legal institutes of public international law, both in general law and specific areas.

After passing the module, the students should be able to understand the functioning of IL and its relationship to States and their domestic legal systems. 

In order to fulfil the above-described case-law and theoretical concepts will be taught.

The guarant dr. Lipovský teaches 100 % of the lectures and seminars.

 

Exams in 2020/2021 : In case of distant form, the test will be held in moodle or other similar application. Students will be informed about technical issues in email in accordance with the study provisions.
