This course is a continuation of the course JLB041 and is designed for students of all the study disciplines offered at the FSV UK. The course counts with the knowledge acquired in the previous semester- lessons 1-16 of the textbook "Nová učebnice současné španělštiny - 1st part". The course aims to enlarge the vocabulary, solidify grammar structures and improve communication skills (lesson 17 + Repaso III). Upon completion of the course the students are expected to be on the B1-B2 level (https://fsv.cuni.cz/studium/vyuka-jazyku/hodnoceni-jazykove-dovednosti).
Aim of the course -

The course aims to solidify grammar structures and enable students to be independent in any situations. Students are going to read long texts in Spanish of general as well as specialized nature. Students should be able to discuss the texts and summarize them in verbal as well as written form. Development of communication skills will also involve presentation of up-to-date news.

Teaching is based on working with the text, which serves as a basis for practicing understanding and developing speaking skills. The selection of texts is given by the theme and is related to the grammatical subject. Students work in pairs or small groups.

PREREQUISITES TO OBTAIN THE CLASSIFIED CREDIT FOR THE CLASS:


- 2 written tests (2x30 points)

- essay or presentation (10 points)

- 3 assignments or short tests (3x5points)

- oral exam (15 points)

Evaluation:

0-50 % = F

51-60 % = E

61-70 % = D

71-80 % = C

81-90 % = B

91 % and more = A

A - outstanding performance with only minor errors, B - above the average standard but with some errors, C - generally sound work with a number of notable errors, D - fair but with significant shortcomings, E - performance meets the minimum criteria, F - fail – considerable further work is required
