The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the problems of data analysis, including its subsequent processing into journalistic content. The seminar focuses on the issue of data access (ie ways of downloading, examples of publicly available data in the Czech environment, etc.), as well as data processing, available tools and interpretation (ie the most common mistakes in interpretation by journalists, bad examples from the media). All in collaboration with Jakub Šiler, Head Of Business Intelligence CNC (case studies of big data). The main part of the seminar is a practical workshop on the example of CNC data sources. The seminar participants will be divided into editorial teams in which they will learn to identify key topics and personalities of social networks, data analysis, correct data visualization, including possible pitfalls. The outputs of the workshop will be published on the website of the Center of Artificial Intelligence Journalism.
