The subject Pathological physiology for Pharmacists comprises the general knowledge of pathological morphology and physiology, followed by the fundamentals of pathophysiological and all clinical manifestations of diseases the relation to pharmacy and drug use and effects.

Rules for the credit

Ø  No absence in the seminars (exception max 2 absences in illness)

Ø  In case of missing in the class →

o   Missing on illness – paper from the physician

o   The compensation of an absence – seminar work

Ø  Late arrival at seminars (5 or more minutes late) means extra seminar work.

Ø  Everybody must submit the Seminar Work in the PowerPoint presentation including speech presentation on practical classes (every student will choose the topic for the presentation from the list of topics)

Ø  PowerPoint presentation must be 8-10 minutes long, it must not be read from any paper or notes.

Ø  If student cannot present the presentation (in case of illness or any other reason), he/she must choose another topic from the list and do the presentation in another seminar.

 

Rules for the exam

Ø  Obtaining the credit is necessary in order to pass the exam

Ø  Oral exam only

Ø  Registration for exam possible only via SIS system

Ø  Student will choose 2 questions from the list of questions for Pathological Physiology (available in Study materials)

Ø  Teachers might ask additional questions from different areas of Pathological physiology

Ø  All chosen and asked question are equal with respect to validity of exam and exam results (exam mark)
