During the practice before state examination in Internal Medicine, students will be involved in working in the bed stations of the internal medicine departments under the supervision of a supervisor assigned to them. Students will be involved in the work of the department in the extent similar to graduate doctors. They should be involved in the admissions and discharge procedures of the patients and participate in ward rounds. Depending on the routines and rules of the admitting department, the student may assist in some procedures or perform them under the supervision of the supervisor. Entry requirements: successful completion of Internal Medicine V. Outcomes (knowledge and clinical skills):   Training in clinical examination of the patient, differential diagnosis and choice of therapeutic procedures.  Practical skills training according to the possibilities and rules of the workplace where the medical practice is performed.

A maximum of two excused absences are allowed.

 

In order to be awarded credit, it is necessary to provide a certificate of completion of the practice issued by the training centre (logbook), to complete a test in the range of the state exam questions and to successfully pass the practical exam of basic emergency resuscitation (on the simulator).

There are 3 attempts to pass both the test and the CPR exam.
