Hygiene and Preventive Medicine is preventive health science that deals with the protection and promotion of health. Within this elective subject the ways of most common risk factors of contemporary lifestyle prevention (poor diet, smoking and other addictions, low physical activity, stress) are accentuated. Current WHO recommendations are mentioned.

Rules of the credit obtaining
Active participation in lectures and practical classes. We tolerate absence in 2 seminars without compensation of teaching. Absence in 3 - 4 seminars must be compensated by examination from missed topics. 5 or more absences are not tolerated (requirement to repeat a year or individual study plan).
