Hygiene and Preventive Medicine is preventive health science that deals with the protection and promotion of health. As part of this course will be discussed ways of prevention of excessive exposure to risk factors from living and working environment. The preventive programs organized in the practice of GPs will be mentioned, particularly primary and early secondary prevention of cardiovascular, metabolic and cancer diseases.

Hygiena a preventivní lékařství je preventivní medicínský obor, který se zabývá ochranou a podporou zdraví. V rámci uvedeného předmětu budou zmíněny možnosti prevence nadměrné expozice rizikovým faktorům z životního a pracovního prostředí. Představeny budou preventivní programy realizované v praxi praktických lékařů, zejména primární a včasná sekundární prevence kardiovaskulárních, metabolických a nádorových onemocnění.

Credit
Rules of the credit obtaining
Active participation in practical courses and seminars. We tolerate absence in 1 seminar without compensation of teaching. Absence in 2 seminars must be compensated by examination from missed topics. 3 or more absences are not tolerated (requirement to repeat a year or individual study plan)
Examination
A student who has been given credit may sit for the examination.
The dates and times of the examinations will be determined by the department after consultation with students.
