Credit
Student must be present at all practical classes.
Every absence must be fully compensated.
Student must prove satisfied knowledge during oral exams.
The credit test must be passed.
Examination
Student can register for the exam if 1) obtains credit; 2) completes the required amount of practical procedures.

Arrangement of the patient for surgical procedures (asepsis, antisepsis, antibiotic therapy and prophylaxis). Principles of minor oral surgery. (Duska 3)

Inflammatory odontogenic complications and their treatment. (Duska 3)

Practical courses
1. Extraoral and intraoral examination (basic rules, techniques), medical history, setting of a diagnosis. 2. Head and neck anatomy (in relation to local anesthesia). Application of local anesthesia in a patient. 3. Trunk anesthesia (theory and practical technique on a phantom). Application of truncal anesthesia in a patient. 4. Extraction of the tooth and its complications. Simple extraction in a patient (extraction of single-root teeth and/or mobile teeth). 5. Technique of sutures, preparation for surgical performance. Suturing and knotting on a model, suturing of alveolar socket in patient´s mouth. Surgical scrubbing of hands, dressing in operating room.
