ATTENDANCE:

There are 14 lessons in a term and only 3 absences are allowed. The only excepotion is a long-term illness, which must be confirmed by a doctor. In case of absence a student is responsible for making up for the missing lessons. This means that the student has to self-study the missing lessons, do the homework and go through all the materials that were taught during the lesson. In the case any handouts were distributed in the lessons he/she missed, the student has to ask his/her classmates and copy from them all the handouts distributed in the lesson. The student cannot expect that the teacher will give him/her any materials later. The teacher offers consultation hours for those students who attend classes, or for those who apologise for missing a class.

EARNING CREDIT:

1) GAINING at least 150 POINTS

There will be 3 continuous written tests during Czech classes, all test together will count 200 points. Besides, there will be a continuous oral testing and written mini-tests at the beginning of each class where students can get some points as well. At the end of the term students need to gather 160 points in total not to sit for a final winter written credit test. If they do not gain the required points in continuous evaluation, they have to pass a final winter written credit test (covering the whole winter term). Pass mark is 65%.

2) CONVERSATION

Each student has to pass an oral part of the credit which is the conversation with a teacher on given topics. It will happen at the end of the term (for those who have already gained 160 points in continuous evaluation during the term) or during the exam period, after passing the final winter written credit test.

RULES FOR TESTS IN WINTER EXAMINATION PERIOD

Each student has to sign up for (or cancel) any final winter written or oral test ONLY via SIS. You have 3 chances for each test but only in the given dates, which means that if you come at the last date and you do not pass, there are not any other chances for you! The dates for getting the winter credit (both the written test and conversation) will be offered during the winter examination period. For those who do not get winter credit by the end of the winter examination period there will be only one extra date in June for all the parts of the credit.e he/she has to sit for another  final written credit test and has to achieve at least the pass mark (65%). At the moment the student has collected 160pts (or passed the final written credit test (65%)) he/she can sit for his final oral examination. The credit will we given to the studens who have passed the final oral examination.
