The aim of the course is an overview of recent aproaches of the assessment of human sperm, oocytes and early
preimpantation embryos, leading to infertility therapies due to assisted reproductive technologies. Student will be able to
enumerate the most frequent causes of infertility and to describe accompanying morphological anomalies of
gamete/embryo; based on the morphological assessment, student will be able to choice an appropriate asisted
reproductive technology. The course is destined for student of 2nd and higher years of General Medicine, interested in
enlargement of knowledge of early embryonic development and its impicantions in routine infertility cure.

Cílem předmětu je shrnutí v současné době používaných postupů morfologického hodnocení spermií, oocytů a časných
preimplantačních embryí pro účely léčby infertility technikami asistované reprodukce. Absolvent kurzu bude schopen
vyjmenovat nejčastější příčiny infertility a přiřadit k nim vybrané morfologické anomálie gamet a embryí; na základě
hodnocení bude student schopen vybrat patřičnou metodu asistované reprodukce. Kurz je určen pro studenty 2. a
dalších ročníků Všeobecného lékařství se zájmem o rozšíření teoretických znalostí časné embryogeneze a jejích
klinických aspektů v podmínkách rutinní léčby infertility.
