Úkolem předmětu je seznámit studenty 4. ročníku se základy oboru plastické chirurgie, odlišnostmi i jejím přínosem pro ostatní chirurgické i nechirurgické obory. Během výuky se studenti seznámí s historií oboru, obecnými vyšetřovacími postupy a chirurgickými technikami užívanými speciálně v plastické chirurgii. Na závěr bloku pak dojde k seznámení i s estetickou chirurgií a praktickým cvičením sutury ran plasticko-chirurgickou technikou.
