This course in an extent of 76 hours includes seminars (32 hours), practical lessons (24 hours) and lectures (20 hours). Teaching is focused on special neurology, i.e. etiopathogenesis, clinical neurological picture, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of significant neurological diseases. Furthermore, the teaching is focused on neurological diagnostic examination methods, especially on examination of cerebrospinal fluid, sonography of cerebral arteries, EEG, evoked potentials, EMG and on the contribution of imaging methods in neurology, including neurointerventions.

Neurological knowledge, gained in the course CVSE4P0028 (propedeutics and general neurology) are applied in clinical examinations directed to particular nosological units.

The aim for the student is, that he/she acquires good systematic thinking at the assessment of the patient and furthermore he/she will become familiar with the contribution of ancillary examination methods.
