Basic course of ethics in the health care. In the course, students become familiar with the basics of ethical reflection regarding the four principles of medical ethics and the principle of double effect. The theoretical part is preparing for a description of the gravest and most common ethical issues in the current health care. Attention is paid to the ethical codes and declarations, as well as to introduction to the problems in health care economics.

The aim of the course is to orient students within the issues of modern medical ethics. It shall happen in three steps: (1) to transmit them the fundamental ethical theories; (2) application of these theories to selected areas of current problems or to particular cases; (3) to make students familiar with the legislative framework and relevant codes and regulations.

Předmět je zakončen písemným testem. Testové otázky mohou být trojího typu: 

1. Princip mnohočetného výběru. Je třeba zakroužkovat správnou odpověď.

2. Z navržených možností spojit logické dvojice či trojic. Např. jméno filosofa a s názvem filosofického směru.

3. Doplnit do textu jedno či dvě slova.
