Winter skiing course enables the students to practice motor skill in downhill and cross country skiing and snowboarding. They also get theoretical knowledge of mountain medicine. We cooperate with moutain rescue service. Students experience extreme mountain conditions. Only one time can be enrollment into the subject winter sport course from the 1. to the 6. year, which is the condition of credits´ claim. Teaching methods of winter sports course are practical exercises and theoretical seminars in mountain environment.

Due to the measures of the Rector of Charles University, the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and the Government of the Czech Republic, the practical teaching of our workplace will take place only by distance learning until further notice.

For the older students is the repeated winter skiing course good change and relax during their studies. Repeated activity becomes a good skill. The students can exchange experience with other collegues (the courses for 2. and 3. medical faculty).
Practical form - crosscountry and downhill skiing and snowboarding. Theoretical form - lectures, discussions - inform the students about the newest trends. Often the members of mountain rescue service take part in the lectures and also practical activity in the terain. They can enlarge the theoretical
and practical knowledge from the previous course.
Physical demand helps the future physicians to cooperite with their demanding work and with the future patiens.
