Annotation: The techniques and skills for competent clinical examination are mastered by seminars and by the bedside practice. Examining patients draws on the senses of sight (inspection), touch (palpation) and hearing (percussion and auscultation). Problem-oriented approach to case notes and record keeping emphasizes centrality of good note taking and record keeping in patient management. General introduction to history-taking with more detailed elements of the history. Careful history and physical examination can help to solving most medical problems
