The education is going on preceding education of basic clinical problems and clinical propedeutics. But the tutorial of physical examination, taking history, symptomatology, diagnostics and therapy of age specific diseases is now, in 5th year of study, more detailed and methodical.
Aim of the course -

The aim of this topic is to take up the students of 5th year with basic clinical pediatrics in a required range and to reassure basic practil skills of examination of pediatric patients and to get up basic differential diagnostic thinking. The aim to indroduce pediatrics as a field with a strong developmental, peventive and social aspect.

The practical bed-side training in a range 30 hours under supervision of an assistent and 33 hours of seminars.

Physical examination of newborn, infant, toddler, prescholl and school child and adolescent. Speciality of taking of pediatric patient´s history. Peculiarity of interpretation of some findings and results in pediatrics ? laboratory, X-ray. Diseases and differential diagnostic thought. Special emphasis to newborn screening, endocrinology and diabatology, nephrology, gastroenterology, pneumology (cystic fibrosis), cardiology, pediatric emergency and autoimmune diseases.
