Examination of the state of the periodontium,

assessment of the level of oral hygiene and practical training in dental hygiene in a particular patient.

Patient education concerning the implications of dental plaque and importance of its removal for dental health, including the health of surrouning supportive tissues.

Removal of dental plaque, pigmentations, and polishing of the dental enamel.
