The course is designed for all students who have mastered basic surgical skills and patients examination in cardiovascular surgery, and want to expand their theoretical and practical surgical skills (Practical skills in cardiovascular surgery I. Is not a prerequisite). Students will be introduced with more complex examining methods (eg. ABI, vascular examinations SONO venous and arterial system), application of intra-muscular drugs etc. Greater emphasis will be placed on detailed analysis of investigative techniques (CTAG, SKG, and DSA). They will be discussed in more detailed with patient’s therapeutic options. Students will expand their surgical skills during rehearsals vascular anastomoses and sutures through the simulator. Students will be also presented with “monitored” cases presentations where they can discuss different treatment plans for patients.
